Julio Cesar Chavez, Mexico’s legendary boxer, underwent surgery at Los Angeles Hospital in Culiacan, Sinaloa, last Sunday.
Doctors discovered a stone in his left ureter, causing persistent pain, and decided to remove it.
Chavez entered the operating room optimistically, assuring fans he planned to remain strong and healthy.

Surgery Details and Recovery

Urologist Ivan Aguilar led the procedure, assisted by Drs. Juan Carlos and Sergio Sandoval, Chavez’s longtime physician.
The doctors removed an infected kidney stone, preventing further complications, and confirmed Chavez recovered safely.
After surgery, Chavez thanked the medical team and expressed deep gratitude for saving his life.

Returning to Life and Boxing Plans

Chavez left the hospital ready to resume his daily routine and physical activity.
He expressed eagerness to participate in an exhibition fight on December 13 in San Luis Potosi.
The event will coincide with bouts featuring his sons, Julio and Omar, continuing the family boxing legacy.
