Charles Oliveira Spends Thousands to Bring ‘Dream’ Exotic Birds to His $1M Mansion

UFC star Charles Oliveira has never hidden his love of rewarding himself for years of hard work inside the Octagon — and his latest purchases show just how far he’s come.

The former lightweight champion, who recently returned to form with a submission victory over Mateusz Gamrot, has earned a fortune through bonuses and headline fights. Already the UFC record holder for the most post-fight bonuses in history, Oliveira added another $50,000 to his total at UFC Rio.

While the 35-year-old has used much of his success to support his family and community, he has also indulged in a few long-held dreams. One of his biggest splurges has been on exotic pets — two rare Cacatua birds imported from Australia, which reportedly cost between $50,000 and $80,000.

“Since I was a kid, I dreamed of having these,” Oliveira explained in a video tour of his mansion filmed by Full Violence. “It’s Cacatua. I knew once I had the money for it, I’d get one — so now we got it.”

The stunning white parrots now live at Oliveira’s $1 million mansion in Guarujá, Brazil, not far from the home of football superstar Neymar. The property, filled with photos and artwork celebrating Oliveira’s career, also includes outdoor enclosures where he looks after his birds.

A Fighter’s Wild Ambitions

Oliveira also admitted that he once considered taking his love of animals to the next level by keeping tigers, inspired by boxing legend Mike Tyson’s famous big cats. However, he ultimately decided against it due to practical and ethical concerns.

“You can’t have them here,” he said. “I even built everything on my farm to have them, but man, they eat a lot. I’m not around much — I’d have to leave them with my parents, so I can’t.”

While tigers proved too much responsibility, Oliveira’s beloved Cacatuas now serve as a symbol of how far the Brazilian fighter has come — from humble beginnings in Guarujá to one of the most decorated athletes in UFC history.
