The UFC has hit a last-minute hurdle ahead of its Perth Fight Night.
The promotion prepares for its second Australian event of the year with UFC Perth, set for September 28 at RAC Arena. Fans expected a stacked card, but the lineup has shifted.
Injury Forces Co-Main Event Change
On Thursday, the UFC confirmed that the light heavyweight bout between Junior Tafa and Ibo Aslan will no longer take place. The fight had been scheduled as the co-main event.
The promotion did not reveal which fighter withdrew. Officials also left open whether the matchup will be rescheduled. To fill the gap, the 205-pound fight between Jimmy Crute and Ivan Erslan has been elevated to co-main event status.
UFC Perth Card Remains Packed
Despite the setback, UFC Perth still features a 14-fight lineup packed with top talent from Oceania.
The main event highlights a crucial light heavyweight showdown as Carlos Ulberg faces former title challenger Dominick Reyes. The card also includes a welterweight clash between veterans Jake Matthews and Neil Magny, and a featherweight bout featuring Jack Jenkins versus Ramon Taveras.
