Ronda Rousey believes Paddy Pimblett has achieved the rare mix of fighting skill and star power needed to become a true UFC superstar.
Speaking at New York Comic Con, the former bantamweight champion praised Pimblett for understanding what many fighters overlook — the importance of being both athlete and entertainer.
“That’s what really matters — that you can make people know who you are,” Rousey told the crowd. “People that don’t know fighting. That’s how you command the entertainer aspect. The one person who really realizes that is Paddy Pimblett. I really appreciate that.”
Rousey became one of the biggest names in combat sports history through her dominance in the Octagon and her ability to connect with mainstream audiences. She transitioned seamlessly into Hollywood, appearing in The Expendables and Entourage, before enjoying two successful runs in WWE.
Now eyeing a potential comeback, Rousey says Pimblett is following a similar path — a charismatic fighter whose popularity extends far beyond the cage.
