Paulo Costa will return to the Octagon for the second time this year. He will face Shara Magomedov in a middleweight co-main event at UFC Qatar.

MMA journalist Laerte Viana reported the matchup, set for November 22 at ABHA Arena in Doha. On Wednesday, Costa, known as “The Eraser,” confirmed the fight on X. He accepted the promotion’s offer to face Magomedov and has since taunted “Bullet” repeatedly on social media.

UFC Qatar Cards Promising Fights

The event marks UFC’s debut in Qatar. Organizers have already assembled an impressive lineup of bouts.

The card features a light heavyweight clash between former champion Jan Blachowicz and Bogdan Guskov. Bantamweights Aleksandre Topuria and Bekzat Almakhan will face off. Another 205-pound battle pits Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev against Rafael Cerqueira. The lineup also includes a flyweight fight between Alex Perez and Asu Almabayev.

Recent Performances

Paulo Costa last fought at UFC 318 in July, defeating Roman Kopylov via unanimous decision. He once held a 13-fight unbeaten streak but has struggled since losing a title fight to Israel Adesanya at UFC 253 in September 2020. Costa went 2-4 in his last six bouts. His UFC record stands at 7-4, with four wins by knockout.

Shara Magomedov last competed at UFC Abu Dhabi in July, beating Marc-André Barriault by unanimous decision. He rebounded from his first career loss to Michael Page at UFC Saudi Arabia in February. “Bullet” holds a 5-1 UFC record, including key wins over Armen Petrosyan, Michał Oleksiejczuk, and Bruno Silva.

Both fighters now aim to make a statement at UFC Qatar on November 22.
