Jan Blachowicz prepares for a crucial fight later this year. The former UFC light heavyweight champion recently hinted on social media that he has already signed a contract for his next bout. Red Corner MMA reported that Blachowicz is expected to square off against No. 10-ranked contender Bogdan Guskov at UFC Qatar. The event will take place on November 22 at Doha’s ABHA Arena. UFC Fight Night in Qatar marks the promotion’s debut in the country and its fifth event in Asia this year. Fans anticipate a clash between a veteran champion and an unstoppable finisher.

Blachowicz Eyes Comeback

Blachowicz last competed at UFC London this past March, where he narrowly lost a unanimous decision to Carlos Ulberg. Once riding a five-fight winning streak, highlighted by his knockout of Dominick Reyes at UFC 253 in September 2020 to capture the light heavyweight crown, the 42-year-old now faces a challenging stretch. He has posted a 1-3-1 record over his last five Octagon outings. Blachowicz carries a professional record of 29-11-1, with 18 wins by finish, including stoppages over Luke Rockhold, Thiago Santos, and Nikita Krylov.

Guskov Brings Momentum

Guskov last fought at UFC Abu Dhabi in July, scoring a first-round knockout against Nikita Krylov. The 32-year-old Uzbek fighter stumbled in his UFC debut, losing by submission to Volkan Oezdemir at UFC Paris in September 2023. He quickly rebounded, racking up four consecutive victories, all by stoppage. “Czarevitch” holds an 18-3 professional record, with every win coming via finish, including notable knockouts over Zac Pauga and Ryan Spann. His streak and finishing power make him a dangerous opponent for Blachowicz.

Experience Meets Explosive Power

The matchup sets up a classic battle of experience versus momentum. Blachowicz brings championship savvy and a history of high-profile finishes. Guskov enters with youth and a perfect finishing streak. Fans expect an intense opening, as both fighters aim to dominate early. UFC Qatar promises action-packed bouts as the promotion expands into a new market. November 22 will test Blachowicz’s return and challenge Guskov’s rising trajectory in a high-stakes showdown.
