Islam Makhachev poked fun at former teammate and UFC legend Daniel Cormier with a four-word caption on Instagram, continuing their playful mock feud. Sharing a highlights package of Cormier, Makhachev tagged him and wrote: “Before it becomes fat.”

Cormier fired back, joking about Makhachev moving up in weight class: “Hey man, you’re going up in weight class so you’re gonna have a little more fat than you used to. You better be careful. Stay humble. Lol.”

The two fighters share a long history at the American Kickboxing Academy and have often teased each other publicly. Their rivalry has included humorous incidents, such as Cormier once slapping Makhachev during a joking argument about Khabib Nurmagomedov being removed from a flight.

Makhachev’s quick wit and ongoing jabs at Cormier’s post-retirement physique have become a recurring source of amusement for fans, highlighting the friendly, teasing dynamic between the two UFC stars.
