In front of his home crowd, Benoit Saint Denis delivered the biggest win of his MMA career. He dominated rising star Mauricio Ruffy in the UFC Paris co-main event. Fans and fighters immediately reacted, praising his clinical performance.

Saint Denis Starts Fast

Saint Denis pressured Ruffy from the opening bell, pushing him against the cage. The fight quickly moved to the ground. Within 60 seconds, Saint Denis secured full mount. He tried to take Ruffy’s back, but Ruffy resisted and returned to the feet. Saint Denis brought him back to the mat, controlling the action. An accidental low blow briefly stopped the action. Saint Denis stayed composed, ending the round in control on the feet.

Second-Round Choke Seals Victory

Saint Denis remained dominant in the second round. He scored a takedown and locked in a rear-naked choke. Ruffy could not escape, and Saint Denis secured the submission. This victory marks Saint Denis’ second straight submission win and seventh win in his last nine fights, solidifying his rise in the UFC.

Ruffy Suffers First UFC Defeat

Mauricio Ruffy experienced only the second loss of his professional MMA career. He entered the fight 3-0 in the UFC, coming off a head-kick knockout of King Green at UFC 313. Fans and analysts praised Saint Denis’ skill and composure, noting the win as a defining moment for the French fighter.
