Anthony Joshua Jokes About Wanting Free Netflix Login After Signing $65M Jake Paul Fight

Anthony Joshua has just secured one of the biggest paydays of his career – but that didn’t stop him from cheekily asking Netflix for a free login.

The former two-time heavyweight champion unexpectedly landed a blockbuster fight with Jake Paul, replacing what was planned to be a smaller December bout worth about $1 million. Instead, the new matchup will reportedly earn Joshua around $65 million (£50m), adding to a career fortune estimated at $152 million.

But despite the massive payday, Joshua joked that he may not even be able to watch his own fight. Since the bout will be broadcast on Netflix, the British star took to Instagram to playfully request: “Can I get a company username and password please?”

Joshua has been tied to DAZN for years and may not have an active Netflix subscription. The standard plan in the UK costs only about $7 – something the multimillionaire could clearly afford – but the lighthearted request added a humorous twist to the announcement.

DAZN reportedly received a substantial fee to allow Joshua to appear on another platform, similar to the arrangement made for Katie Taylor’s two Netflix fights with Amanda Serrano.

Joshua vs Paul is set to be one of the most-watched boxing events of the year, and it seems the heavyweight star is making sure he won’t have to miss it – even if he’d rather not pay for the subscription.
