Allen Ready to Defend His Belt at Home

British heavyweight Dave Allen will face one of the most dangerous opponents of his career when he takes on Russia’s Arslanbek Makhmudov on October 11 at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena. The fight, scheduled for 12 rounds and streamed live on DAZN, will see Allen put his WBA Intercontinental title on the line. Known for his durability and determination, the 33-year-old Yorkshireman insists he’s fully prepared to silence the doubters and deliver a statement victory on home soil.

Makhmudov Aims to Make a Statement

Arslanbek “The Lion” Makhmudov enters the contest with a formidable record of 20 wins, 19 by knockout, and a reputation as one of the most feared punchers in the division. The Montreal-based powerhouse is expected to come out aggressively, seeking another early finish to add to his highlight reel. Allen, however, believes experience and conditioning could turn the tide in his favor, predicting that the longer the fight goes, the more it will suit him.

Power vs. Resilience in a Classic Matchup

The upcoming clash promises a thrilling contrast in styles: Makhmudov’s raw strength and explosive combinations against Allen’s endurance and counterattacking approach. For Allen, victory could propel him back into the international spotlight and open doors to bigger opportunities. For Makhmudov, it’s a crucial step toward reestablishing himself among the world’s top contenders. With two heavy hitters sharing the ring, fans can expect fireworks from the opening round.
