KSI, the British YouTube star and entrepreneur, recently made headlines after his estimated earnings from the platform were accidentally revealed on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show.
The 32-year-old, real name Olajide Olatunji, has grown from his early FIFA 12 videos into one of the UK’s most influential online creators, amassing around 75 million followers across social media and 17 million subscribers on his main YouTube channel. Beyond content creation, KSI co-founded Misfits Boxing and co-owns brands such as Prime Hydration and Lunchly, while also making appearances on mainstream TV shows.
YouTube Earnings Accidentally Revealed
During the BBC programme’s popular ‘Send to All’ segment, McIntyre took control of KSI’s phone and browsed through his apps. When he opened YouTube Studio, it revealed KSI’s estimated earnings over the past 28 days to be $105,000.
While McIntyre apologised for the slip, he described the figure as “very impressive.” KSI responded modestly: “Thank you, thank you. I’ve been working hard.”
Turning Down Big Boxing Payouts
KSI also opened up about his boxing career in a recent podcast with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. The star revealed that he had turned down offers worth tens of millions to fight American YouTuber Jake Paul, saying he was “done” with pursuing a bout with him.
He explained that his focus was on building Misfits Boxing and trying repeatedly to set up a fight with Paul, which never materialised due to repeated obstacles. “I’ve been offered 20 million to fight Jake Paul, 30 million to fight Jake Paul. These guys can’t give me any amount of money to fight this guy. When it comes to boxing, I’m done,” KSI said.
Reflecting on His Boxing Journey
KSI also shared that all the money he made from his fight with Tommy Fury went to his trainers. He described the process of trying to arrange a fight with Jake Paul as frustrating, with moving weight targets and constant delays. “I tried to build up again, to then try and fight Jake, and then he was just getting heavier and heavier… I had to fight Tommy Fury instead,” he said, highlighting the challenges behind the scenes of his boxing career.
