Conor McGregor Warns Jake Paul of Brutal Reality in Joshua Fight

Conor McGregor predicts that Jake Paul will leave the ring tomorrow night as a very different person than he entered it.

After years of facing much smaller or much older opponents, Paul now faces Anthony Joshua at the Kaseya Center. The two-time unified heavyweight champion is 36 but remains highly active at the top of the division. He had been planning a secret comeback fight this month before accepting a short-notice offer from Netflix to face Paul in America. McGregor believes Joshua can inflict serious damage on the social media star.

McGregor’s betting slip sparks attention

This evening, McGregor drew fans’ attention on X by revealing he set odds for Joshua to stop Jake Paul within the first 60 seconds. He emphasized he has not placed his personal bet yet but is certain the YouTuber faces big trouble.

“I have set the odds for Anthony Joshua to KO Jake Paul inside the first 60 seconds at 11/1,” McGregor wrote on X while promoting a betting company. Fans noted that a supposed $10 bet seemed small, and McGregor clarified it only showcased the monstrous odds.

“I have not placed my own personal bet on this match yet. I have only just set the odds. I do like ‘KO in first 60 seconds’ at 11/1. Now it’s about how much or what else? A colossal sum on an outright win is good too. $5 million would return $5.6 million. This is an absolute layup fight. It is not fixed. I know Matchroom. Jake is stupid and will be altered permanently from this bout. I can’t just sit idly by and watch it happen without making a cool profit too.”

McGregor recalls his own quick knockouts

When fans questioned the speed of a 60-second knockout, McGregor referenced some of his major victories. “I done Cowboy [Donald Cerrone] in 40 seconds. Dustin in 60. Aldo in 12. All were reputable, world and world title challengers. Cowboy was taller and heavier than me. I knew his shots, reactions, and mentality. Paul is lighter, shorter, and a green baby in this business compared to AJ. Sixty seconds is ample time for AJ. Eleven to one actually has me scared.”

“I am now setting odds for these fights using my own company’s capital. Betting to win is different than before. It feels peculiar and unfamiliar. Either way, it’s f—ing awesome! Lol.”
