Song Yadong has suggested he will fight either Sean O’Malley or Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 324, which is expected to take place on 24 January as part of the UFC’s new broadcast era on Paramount+.

The fifth-ranked bantamweight revealed on social media that he has signed a bout agreement and that his opponent will be one of the two former title contenders. Song hasn’t fought since February, when he beat Henry Cejudo via technical decision after an eye poke halted the fight.

O’Malley has previously said he is open to fighting Song following back-to-back losses to Merab Dvalishvili, while Nurmagomedov has hinted he could face Song to earn another title shot.

The bantamweight division remains in the spotlight, with Dvalishvili set to defend his title against Petr Yan at UFC 323, as the title picture for early 2026 begins to take shape.
