Jake Paul’s next boxing match will still happen in 2025 — but not against Gervonta Davis. The highly promoted bout, planned for November 14 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, has been officially canceled.
The cancellation follows fresh allegations of domestic violence against Davis, who is now facing a civil lawsuit over the accusations.
Promoters respond and confirm new plans
Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions, said his team handled the situation with care. “We worked closely with all parties to navigate this responsibly,” he said.
Bidarian confirmed that Paul remains set to headline a major event on Netflix next year. He added that the new date, opponent, and venue will be announced once finalized.
He also thanked Netflix, the Kaseya Center, and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for their continued support. “We appreciate the patience of our athletes, partners, sponsors, and fans as we adjust our event plans,” Bidarian said.
Serious accusations against Davis
Davis’ former girlfriend, Courtney Rossel, has accused him of multiple crimes, including battery, kidnapping, and false imprisonment. The alleged incident took place on October 27 at a strip club.
Rossel claims Davis attacked her in a private room before dragging her into a parking garage, where he allegedly assaulted her again.
These accusations add to Davis’ history of similar charges. He previously faced domestic violence allegations in February 2020, December 2022, and July 2025. Rossel also claims she suffered repeated abuse during their relationship.
Jake Paul still plans to fight soon
Despite the canceled event, Jake Paul is expected to fight before the end of the year. Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions confirmed that discussions for a new matchup are already underway.
Potential opponents include Terence Crawford, Ryan Garcia, and Francis Ngannou. A rematch with Nate Diaz also remains under consideration.
Paul’s team aims to keep his boxing momentum strong and deliver a major event that will capture fans’ attention worldwide.
