Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is continuing its rapid rise in the combat sports world — and now, Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg is getting involved.
BKFC president Dave Feldman revealed that Wahlberg has agreed to help develop a new docuseries about the promotion, following in the footsteps of previous projects like Deep Cuts, which chronicled Mike Perry’s journey before his clash with Luke Rockhold.
“So we’ve been talking to Mark a lot, and he’s actually agreed to help us out with a docuseries we’re gonna do for BKFC,” Feldman said on the Overdogs Podcast.
Wahlberg, known for his role in the Oscar-winning boxing film The Fighter, is a longtime combat sports fan. While his exact role in the upcoming series hasn’t been confirmed, his star power is expected to draw major attention to the fast-growing promotion.
BKFC has recently surged in popularity, boosted by appearances from Conor McGregor and a roster packed with former MMA stars. Its latest event in Hammond, Indiana, went viral after fighter Bryce Henry played chess between rounds before knocking out his opponent.
The promotion also continues to attract big-name matchups — including Mike Perry’s recent victory over Jeremy Stephens, which could pave the way for a future showdown with McGregor.
With Wahlberg now on board, BKFC looks set to take another major step toward mainstream recognition.
