‘Large Knockout Bonus’ Added to Controversial Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis Super Fight

The upcoming showdown between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis is drawing even more controversy after new details emerged about a massive financial incentive being added to the bout.

Set for November 14 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, the matchup between Paul and WBA lightweight champion Davis has faced heavy criticism due to the huge size and weight difference between the two fighters. Paul, who competes at cruiserweight, will have a maximum weight limit of 195 lbs, while Davis normally fights around 135 lbs.

Originally scheduled to take place in Georgia, the event was relocated after Most Valuable Promotions withdrew its hosting request, with Netflix still set to stream the fight live. The bout has since been officially labeled an exhibition match, though a winner will still be announced.

Now, the stakes have been raised even higher. Paul revealed on the DOUBL3 COVERAGE PODCAST that a “large knockout bonus” has been added to the fight’s terms.

“If someone knocks the other one out, they’re gonna get a big, big bonus,” Paul said, though he declined to reveal the exact amount.

Despite the controversy, Paul enters the fight riding a six-fight win streak, including a decisive victory over former world champion Julio César Chávez Jr. Meanwhile, Davis, one of boxing’s pound-for-pound stars, will be facing the YouTuber-turned-boxer in what many fans see as a risky—and highly unusual—matchup.

Whether the financial incentive will make the fight more thrilling or more contentious remains to be seen, but with both men known for their knockout power, the added bonus ensures fireworks on fight night.
