British Olympic silver medallist Ben Whittaker signed a long-term promotional deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.
The 28-year-old secured light-heavyweight silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics before turning professional in 2022.
He remains unbeaten with a 9-0-1 record, earning six of his wins by stoppage.
Whittaker said the timing of the deal perfectly matched his career ambitions and development.
“I’m at the right stage to choose the best platform and pursue the right fights,” he said.

Hearn Predicts Global Stardom for Whittaker

Eddie Hearn praised Whittaker as a rare and exceptional fighter destined for worldwide success.
He called the boxer a “generational talent” and predicted that the deal would transform his career.
“This agreement will elevate Ben to global superstardom and solidify him as a household name,” Hearn said.
Hearn promised to guide Whittaker toward major title fights and the top of the light-heavyweight division.

Rising Star Eyes World Titles After Recent Victory

Whittaker last fought in April, stopping Liam Cameron in the second round of their light-heavyweight rematch.
Their first meeting in October 2024 ended in a controversial draw after both fighters tumbled over the ropes.
An injury prevented Whittaker from continuing that night, but he returned stronger for the rematch.
He now aims to build on that momentum under Matchroom’s banner and move closer to world championship contention.
