Nunez Survives Grueling 12-Round Battle

IBF super featherweight champion Eduardo “Sugar” Nunez (29-1, 27 KOs) defeated Christopher “Pitufo” Diaz (30-6, 19 KOs) by unanimous decision in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. Nunez landed key combinations and dropped Diaz twice in the seventh round. Diaz pressured throughout, opening a cut on Nunez in the final round. Judges scored the bout 117-109, 117-109, and 116-110.

Guevara and Molina Battle to Controversial Draw

Former two-time world champion Pedro Guevara (43-5-2, 22 KOs) fought Alexis “Chapito” Molina (13-1-2, 5 KOs) to a 10-round draw. Molina joined on 24 hours’ notice. Both fighters traded punches, with Guevara scoring early, Molina landing strong middle rounds. Judges scored 97-93 for Molina, 96-94 for Guevara, and 95-95, sparking debate.

Mosqueda Stops Valenzuela in Sixth Round

Flyweight contender Yoali Mosqueda (14-0, 11 KOs) knocked out German “El Chile” Valenzuela (17-8, 12 KOs) at 1:42 of round six. Mosqueda dominated early, landing multiple combinations and powerful hooks. Valenzuela suffered swelling under his left eye before the cornerman halted the fight.

Beltran Jr. Finishes Martinez-Zumaya in First

Junior middleweight Hector “Handsome” Beltran Jr. (4-0, 4 KOs) knocked out Moises Martinez-Zumaya (2-1, 1 KO) at 2:03 of round one. Beltran landed a body shot and uppercut, forcing Martinez-Zumaya down twice. Referee Javier Penato stopped the fight, as Martinez-Zumaya suffered a nosebleed.
