Ilia Topuria Teases Fans About Hypothetical Fight with Terence Crawford

UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria sparked online debate after sharing a photo with boxing superstar Terence Crawford ahead of Crawford’s massive super middleweight clash with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez on September 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Topuria captioned the photo on X with a simple question: “Who wins this fight?” Fans quickly flooded the comments, speculating on a potential matchup between Topuria and Crawford. Responses varied widely, with some predicting Topuria would dominate in an MMA-style contest, while others gave the edge to Crawford in pure boxing.

The timing of Topuria’s post comes shortly after Crawford surprised fans by naming former UFC fighter Cody Garbrandt—not Topuria—as the best boxer in the UFC, citing Garbrandt’s striking skills.

Topuria’s playful post could hint at future MMA-boxing crossover discussions, though no official fight is planned. For now, fans are left imagining what might happen if these two combat stars ever squared off.
