Tate’s Name Shocks Fans in Misfits Rankings

Andrew Tate’s boxing path looks clearer after Misfits placed him tenth in their latest pound-for-pound rankings. Reports claim the controversial 38-year-old is negotiating a Misfits debut later this year. Tate previously enjoyed a successful kickboxing career, winning four world titles before eye injuries forced his retirement. He briefly returned in 2020 for several bouts but now seeks a fresh start in boxing.

Misfits Explain Updated Ranking System

On Saturday, Darren Till knocked out Luke Rockhold at Misfits 22 in Manchester, topping the promotion’s rankings afterwards. Misfits placed Tommy Fury second and KSI third, with Gib and Chase DeMoor rounding out the top five. Tate surprisingly appeared in tenth, sparking heated debate. Misfits clarified their criteria in a post on X, formerly Twitter. They explained that rankings apply only to Crossover Boxing. They said fighters outside MF Pro qualify, including MMA stars, YouTubers, or influencers. Misfits stressed that rankings depend on record, talent, opponents faced, and drawing power. They also grant champions a +10 point bonus to boost placements.

Mixed Fan Reactions and Ongoing Legal Issues

Fans quickly flooded the comments after Misfits revealed Tate’s ranking. One admitted shock, while another demanded: “Book Tate vs Demoor.” Some mocked his inclusion, with one writing: “Andrew Tate? Where’ve you plucked that from?” Another accused Misfits of fixing an easy fight. Others laughed and called his presence “a disgrace.” Despite the backlash, Tate still plans to debut this year. Legal troubles continue to surround him, as four women accused him of sexual violence, charges he denies. A trial begins in London next summer. Police also confiscated £180,000 from Tate, which he used for an Aston Martin Valhalla deposit in 2021, according to Devon and Cornwall Police.
