UFC president Dana White has officially confirmed plans for a historic event at the White House, set to celebrate Independence Day on July 4, 2026. White traveled to Washington, D.C., to finalize the deal and announced the confirmation during an Instagram Live session, saying: “The White House fight is on! I’ll have more details in the next couple of weeks. But we got it done today.”
While stars like Jon Jones and Conor McGregor have expressed interest in competing, White tempered expectations about Jones’ participation. Despite ‘Bones’ vacating his heavyweight title and briefly retiring before reconsidering for the White House card, White dismissed the likelihood of him fighting, joking that the odds of Jones appearing are “a billion to one.”
The UFC boss also confirmed other upcoming fights, including Islam Makhachev defending his welterweight title against Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 on November 15.
