David Benavidez to Take on Artur Beterbiev After Riyadh Card

Beterbiev Lined Up for Next Challenge

David Benavidez’s next opponent has been confirmed as Artur Beterbiev, according to trainer Jose Benavidez Sr. The fight is set to follow their individual bouts on the November 22 DAZN card at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Beterbiev is scheduled to face Deon Nicholson on the undercard, marking his first fight since losing a majority decision to Dmitry Bivol earlier this year.

Potential for Beterbiev to Main Event

If Anthony Yarde, Benavidez’s primary opponent on November 22, suffers an injury during training, Beterbiev could be promoted to the main event to face Benavidez. Benavidez Sr. emphasized that the team has already accepted a bout with Beterbiev, ensuring the matchup is secured regardless of contingencies.

Looking Ahead to Bivol

Beterbiev had hoped to fight Dmitry Bivol in a trilogy bout, but Bivol is currently recovering from back surgery. “We offered him a fight… he didn’t want to take it,” Benavidez Sr. explained. He added that once Bivol recovers, a future clash with Benavidez remains a possibility, making Beterbiev the logical next step in the champion’s career.
